Accra, Ghana – Bishop Boxing Promotions is proud to announce that rising prospect Majid Yakubu has officially moved his training camp to the iconic Seconds Out Gym in Jamestown, Accra, as he begins focused preparation for an ambitious international competition schedule.
The move is a strategic step in Bishop Boxing Promotions plan to elevate Yakubu onto the world stage, with upcoming international matchups targeted against top opponents from India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Yakubu, who joined Bishop Boxing Promotions earlier this year as one of the most exciting young talents in the stable, has quickly established himself as a fighter to watch in Ghana’s new generation. The move to Seconds Out Gym represents the next phase of his development.
Training out of Seconds Out Gym – the historic Accra facility known as the breeding ground of champions located in the heart of Jamestown – Yakubu will now benefit from elite sparring, world-class conditioning, and the gym’s championship culture as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
Statement from Dr. Dave Bishop, President, Bishop Boxing Promotions:
“Majid is a great boxer and a great talent, with an underdog story to tell. He comes from humble beginnings, but he has the heart of a champion, the discipline of a warrior, and the hunger that you cannot teach. It’s my job to create a path and a platform to show the world what Ghana already knows – that Majid Yakubu is next. Moving to Seconds Out Gym gives him the environment, the history, and the high-level push he needs for India, the UK, and the USA.”
